Last week, our team toured the Litchfield Museum and Route 66 Welcome Center, where Carol Sneed shared insight into the organization’s history and operations.

The museum officially opened in 2013 and operates as a 501(c)(3), funded through donations, grants, and community support. Many of the artifacts on display have been donated by local residents, reflecting strong hometown pride and a shared commitment to preserving local history.

Carol discussed funding sources, marketing strategies, and the role of merchandise and promotional materials in strengthening sustainability. Facebook continues to serve as a key platform for outreach and engagement. She also emphasized the importance of teamwork and having an active board to help guide decisions and ensure long-term success.

Thank you to Carol for sharing the museum’s story and providing valuable insight to the CEO team.
