Carley King

About Me

 My name is Carley King and I am currently a Senior at NHS. Here is a little background information about myself. I lived in Pana until I was five. My family built a home in Nokomis where we currently reside. I live with my parents, Cory and Beth King, and my sister Grace. My dad works for Ameren and my mom is a rockstar 3rd grade teacher in Pana, she coaches basketball as well. My sister Grace is 14, and is a Freshmen at NHS. She enjoys being an active member of the FFA, 4-H, and participates in basketball and volleyball. We also have a Cockapoo named Bella, and she is one spoiled pup! 

 As for me, I am an active member of many clubs at our school. I am a charter member of the Sources of Strength board. I am also a two year member of the National Honor Society.  I will also be serving as a Senior class officer, and the Public Relations officer  for Student Council this coming school year. I have participated in basketball all four years of High School. I truly enjoy playing basketball with my friends, whom I have played with since the second grade. Fun fact about me is that I’ve been shopping since I was four days old, and needless to say it’s my favorite hobby. During the summer you will catch me on the lake, playing ball, or hanging out with my friends, and of course my favorite hobby shopping.  Another fun fact about me is I love to talk in front of large crowds. 

 I am honored to be chosen as a participant in the Montgomery County CEO Program. I look forward to building relationships with peers and business professionals.  I am anticipating learning life long skills that will prepare me for a successful career in the major I decide to pursue. I am excited to get started in this program.
