Today, our CEO team members visited the Litchfield Salvation Army, led by manager Kelli Jennings and assistant manager Kelsey. The team learned about the organization’s mission, which includes helping people through men’s rehab and offering jobs to those who complete the program. Sales from the store go directly toward funding that mission.

The tour covered the operational side of running a donation based business, including how inventory is stored, sorted, and rotated through a color coded clearance system before being shipped out after six weeks. Team members also heard how much the business depends on the donation experience itself, since a bad interaction at drop off can mean a lost donor and a real hit to the model.

To wrap up the visit, the team was able to shop for clothing items, learning how to find professional clothing on a budget.
