Today, we visited Borgic Hog Farms with Susie (Director of HR) and managers Freddie and Steven!

We learned about their operation - over 10,000 sows and 9 acres under roof on the Nokomis farm, and a team of 80 employees throughout the company with a big emphasis on biosecurity and culture. They walked us through the full growth cycle of the pigs and shared how core values drive every hiring and promotion decision.

The biggest takeaway of the day: “Build your business around what you can and cannot do. Core values are lines in the sand.”
