The CEO team had the opportunity to hear from Zach Wygal, founder of Stamp Out Cancer, about how a simple idea to give back to the community grew into one of Montgomery County’s most impactful annual fundraisers. What started as an idea to donate bartending tips has now raised upwards of $1.5 million for local cancer support, demonstrating the power of starting small, thinking big, and staying consistent.
Zach shared lessons on branding, creating memorable experiences, adapting event formats to stay relevant, and the importance of strong systems and accountability when leading large initiatives. His story reinforced that successful ventures often come from personal purpose, strong community connections, and a willingness to continually improve.
Experiences like this continue to challenge the CEO team to think bigger about the impact their own businesses and events can have on the communities they serve.
Thank you Zach for sharing your story, lessons learned, and the powerful and inspiring impact Stamp Out Cancer has on our community!
