The CEO team spent the morning at Kismet Coffee where owners Brayden and Anne Helgen shared their journey of transforming an old doctor’s office into a thriving coffee shop and kitchen. They described how they intentionally renovated the space to preserve its history, incorporating meaningful décor that gives the shop a unique character and a strong sense of place.

Brayden and Anne emphasized the importance of diversifying product offerings. They also spoke about using automation and technology to streamline operations and applying the Theory of Constraints to identify and solve bottlenecks that can slow growth.

Throughout the visit they encouraged the team to focus on higher quality components and clear differentiators in their business. We also touched on the value of networking, building meaningful connections, and continually learning from others in the entrepreneurial community.
