Today our team visited the Salvation Army in Litchfield, where Assistant Manager Kelsey and Key Holder Becky walked us through the daily operations of their store. From “power sorting” donations to tracking metrics on sorting, pricing, and stocking shelves, we saw how their system runs from receiving to sale.

We also learned about the strong network of relationships they maintain - both with other Salvation Army locations and with outside companies - to manage inventory and maximize impact. Beyond the business side, we were reminded of their mission: helping men overcome addictions, supporting them through rehab, and providing opportunities for meaningful employment.

A great example of how effective systems and a clear purpose can work hand-in-hand to create lasting community impact.
